Mission Statement
Harness Horse Association of
Central New York, Inc. is an organization of Owners, Trainers, Drivers
and Breeders of Standardbred horses whose purpose is to promote the
welfare of Harness Racing in Central New York, and in so doing, promote
the welfare of its members and their employees. Its objectives are:

To cooperate with all authority charges with the governing of
Harness Racing and to render such authority all possible assistance in
the discharge of their duties.

To recommend to governing authority changes in rules and
regulations, which, after due consideration by the Harness Horse
Association of Central New York, Inc., seem to be in the best interests
of the sport of harness racing.

To cooperate with all associations conducting harness race
meetings and advise with them on problems affecting the interests of the
Standardbred horse. To suggest to such associations possible
improvements which after due consideration the said association
believes will be beneficial to all concerned.

To stand ready to advise all horsemen interested in the sport of
Harness Racing concerning their mutual problems.

To assist in furthering the objectives of the United States
Trotting Association.

To represent the membership of this organization and their
employees as bargaining agent for the purpose of negotiating contracts
or agreements for improved racing conditions at Mid-State Raceway at
Vernon, New York and such other harness racing tracks as may from time
to time, bargain for the services of this Association.
